Iodine is necessary for a human like air and water. Biologically, healthy human being is impossible without iodine. According to the atricle at the National Institutes of Health website, the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for iodine in adult men or women is 150 μg per day. The RDA is 220 μg iodine per day for pregnant women, and 290 μg iodine per day for breastfeeding women.
The signs of the law level of iodine in the body range from chronic fatigue and gaining extra weight to such serious problems as goiter, hypothyroidism and pregnancy-related problems. According to the article in the Natural Medicine journal: “Iodine deficiency may be a hidden risk factor for cancer development and/or progression.”
The main source of iodine is food; and some food are rich of iodine. Iodized salt is considered a panacea for solving iodine deficiency problems. However, the iodine level in it decreases during storage and preparing food. In addition, some people need to restrict dietary salt intake because of high blood pressure and/or chronic kidney disease and may be more at risk of iodine deficiency.
The inventors of Jodis-Concentrate utilized the polymer properties of water and using a special technology, technological patent PCT/UA99/00020 (WO 00/35815, Geneva, Switzerland), created a high biological active associate of mineral water and iodine, concentrate, (V.N. Melnychenko about the product «Jodis-Concentrate») that characterized by positive effect on iodine balance in a human body and absence of side effects after intake (The list of clinical studies, research works and product evaluations under the trade mark “Jodis”) .
Jodis-Concentrate contains bioavailable iodine in a liquid form, which helps prevent iodine deficiency disorders, including thyroid issues, without the side effects associated with some other iodine supplements. The additive is known for its stability, as the iodine it contains remains non-volatile and stable over time. This is important because iodine deficiency is a widespread issue, especially in areas affected by the Chornobyl disaster, where the population is more susceptible to thyroid problems due to radiation exposure.
Because iodine in Jodis-Concentrate is resistant to storage and heat treatment, is possible to use it in the bread, milk and meat production. Jodis-Concentrate increases the absorption of vitamins and minerals and the most importantly, Jodis-Concentrate not only restores the iodine status of a person, but also has a therapeutic effect.
For years Jodis-Concentrate is consumed by people of many countries in the world including Norway, Israel, Poland, the Baltic countries, the former CIS, Turkey, China, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany and others. The product is certified in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Bulgaria and other countries. It has patents of Ukraine and Great Britain.
